I know what’s the first thing you’re going to ask – what’s the catch?
Apparently, there’s none! Well, none if you’re a Windows/Linux user
If you’re a Mac users, more specifically a Mountain Lion user, we’ve got bad news for you. This won’t work on your Mac. If you’re still rocking Snow Leopard, though, you’re safe. Otherwise, the only hope for you guys is to install Windows or Linux on your Mac.
Now, as to why it’s they’re giving it away for free, they’re not. Well, not just to anyone. They’re actually providing this as a free download to legitimate users who can no longer activate their Photoshop CS2 due to the recent shutting down of the activation servers for this particular piece of Adobe software. Instead of making their patrons suffer through a tedious process just so they can use their previously purchased Photoshop CS2, they’re now providing it as a free download complete with the all-important serial number for all those concerned – and as it turns out, everyone else too – to enjoy.
Is it wrong to get a copy of this Photoshop CS2 and install it even if you didn’t buy a legal copy of it before?
I’ll let you be the one to answer that. Personally, I say it’s wrong, but then again, you could also argue they could have put better measures in place to restrict the availability of this free download.
