Adonit Jot Touch stylus unboxing

We don’t normally do stylus unboxing posts here at Technoodling, but we’re make an exception with Adonit‘s newest stylus treat for iPad users – the Adonit Jot Touch.

Why?

Well, just by reading the label bannered on the front and back plastic case of the Jot Touch (as pictured below), you’d know this one isn’t exactly your normal run-off-the-mill stylus. Made extra special with a special dose of Bluetooth connectivity, pressure sensitive features and shortcut buttons on the side, we didn’t have to think twice about giving this new Adonit stylus some extra lovin’ courtesy of this unboxing feature.

Clockwise (from top left): the label says it all; compatible with the iPad 2 and the new iPad (aka iPad 3); if the info on the front isn’t enough to convince you to buy the Jot Touch, that’s what the one on the back is for

But more importantly, this one comes packed with more-than-the-average treats!

Check it all out below:

Clockwise (from top left): the various info sheets bundled with the Jot Touch; the three – yes, that’s three buttons there – on the side of the Jot Touch, the reserve tip secretly stowed away underneath all the leaflets, the signature Adonit Jot precision disc; the magnetic USB charger and screw-on cap

Those leaflets there aren’t just for show. It’s actually your introductory kit to the wonderful world of the Bluetooth-enabled pressure sensitive stylus. It’s a mix of instructions on how to use and pair the Jot Touch with your iPad, glossary of terms, and the various apps that are Jot Touch-ready.

And since this is a Bluetooth stylus, you do need to charge it ever now and then, which is why, unlike any previous Adonit stylus we’ve reviewed before, this one comes with a USB charger. Check that, you will need to charge the Jot Touch first before you can enjoy its shortcut buttons and pressure sensitive features.

And with that, I bid you adieu as I charge the Jot Touch so I can finally take it for a good spin within the week, and report back to you with an ample of review of what Adonit’s calling the “world’s smartest stylus.
