Meet Alcatel’s follow up to their 4.3-inch OT 995 Sapphire HD – the Alcatel Inspire 991D.

By follow up, I don’t exactly mean it’s better. In fact, it’s actually quite the opposite.

Compared to the OT 995 Sapphire HD, the Inspire 995D sports a smaller touchscreen (4-inch vs 4.3-inch) and a slower processor (800MHz vs1.4GHz).

But on the upside, that means it’s not quite as pricey as the OT 995 Sapphire HD. SRP of the Alcatel Inspire 991D is just Php8,999.

A 5-megapixel shooter with LED flash, a secondary front-facing (VGA) cam, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi, HSPA connectivity, Android Gingerbread, and a bundled 2GB microSD card round up the rest of the Inspire 991D’s modest spec sheet. Definitely not that great, but definitely not that bad either, thanks mainly to the right pricing.

The Alcatel Inspire 991D is out now in Philippine stores, available in traditional black and clean white.
