Ok, before you let your imagination go wild with the all neat things you can do with NFC and Angry Birds, you won’t get any added treats here as far as how the game played.
You will, however, get to easily unlock new levels when you put two NFC-enabled devices together, in this case the new Symbian Anna-powered Nokia C7, forcing users to become more interactive in real life since only the first five levels can be unlocked through regular means.
Here’s a video showcasing the NFC capabilities of Angry Birds Magic on the C7 (with matching Angry Birds phone cases):
This new version of Rovio’s hit game will ship preloaded on all new Nokia C7 units (read: those with Anna pre-installed by default), and will most likely be available on other NFC enabled devices sometime soon.
Don’t get me wrong. This is actually really pretty neat, but I’m certainly hoping Rovio’s got bigger plans for NFC than just mere level-unlocking on Angry Birds.
