First off, we’re taking this bit of news with a grain of salt. iPad 3 rumors are a dime a dozen, and this one’s no different.
That said, we are excited at the possibility that this one’s true, especially now that we’re mid-way through January.
Now, on to the news itself, according to Japanese blog Macotakara, Apple is scheduled to hold an event in early February with the iPad 3 being the top agenda of the day.
How credible is Macotakara?
Well, as far as news we’ve posted here on Technoodling goes with them being the main source, it’s mostly been misses. They were our source for the purported iPhone 5 leaked pics, a 4-inch display coming to the iPhone 5, and the 5G iPod touch going 3D. Of course, these could all still be true. Apple never really launched the iPhone 5, even though the iPhone 4S is largely regarded as the 5G iPhone, and the same goes with the 5G iPod touch.
So, yeah, based on their track record, we’ve got every right to be skeptical with this bit of news.
But like what I’ve said before, I’m willing to be proven wrong.
