Apple released am update for its iOS devices last Friday, and the next day instructions for jailbreaking the relatively minor update were available on several websites. The 4.3.1 update contains mostly bug fixes, but it is also expected to close a security hole in Mobile Safari that allowed hackers to exploit the iPhone 4 within minutes during the second day of the Pwn2Own competition a few weeks ago. iOS users who don’t care about jailbreaking their devices are thus advised to upgrade to the new firmware.
And if you’re an iOS device user who can live with a tethered jailbreak, you can use Pwnage tool to jailbreak an iPhone 4, iPad 1G, and iPod touch 4G using the instructions provided by Redmond Pie.
Me? I’m sitting this one out until an untethered jailbreak is available.

Untethered is the way to go (but this gives certain devices a semitethered JB, I think).
