If you’ve been holding off on buying a MacBook Air until Apple announces a new one for this year, well, your patience has paid off. Apple has just unveiled the MacBook Air for 2013, and though, it doesn’t really offer up anything new in terms of design, it does, however, sport some welcome upgrades under the hood.
First off, and as expected, this latest crop of MacBook Air lappies now run on the latest 4th gen Intel Core processor more popularly known as Haswell, and of course, the latest Intel provided graphics too, Intel HD Graphics 5000.
Storage has also been upped. From 64GB on the base model of the 11-inch MBA, you can now enjoy 128GB of storing space on the starting model.
And just like Apple’s other newly announced products, such as the AirPort Extreme and Time Capsule, this too supports WiFi 802.11ac connectivity.
But the biggest improvement in the 2013 MacBook Air has got to be battery life. The 11-inch MacBook Air can now reportedly last up to – and hopefully this is true – 9 hours on a single charge, while the 13-inch model can run continuously up to – get this – 12 hours! Woohoo!
And the best part, most of these can be yours at the same price as last year’s MacBook Air, if not cheaper.

These should be in local stores pretty soon, but if you’re not the waiting kind, you can orders yours right here, right now from the Philippine Apple Store online.
So, who’s getting one?
