RIM‘s share prices isn’t the only thing going down these days. SMART‘s BlackBerry packages are on the downward trend too!
What used to be priced at Php1,200 per month — SMART’s BlackBerry Unlimited Data Plan — now costs just Php599 per month.
Their BBM-only plan got a roll back too. From Php150 per month, SMART’s BBM-only plan is now down to just Php99/month. Not only that, they also threw in free minutes into the mix as well.

As for that asterisk in the BBM only plan, it’s to inform you BlackBerry prepaid users out there planning to take advantage of this that you do need to append *2207 to the 11 digit SMART number your calling for it to be counted as a free call. Meaning, if your calling 09181234567, you should dial *220709181234567 so it won’t be deducted from your load.
Postpaid subscribers, meanwhile, can just dial the freely dial the 11 digit number. No need to append anything. It’s automatically counted as free.

As delectable as these packages are, I’m pretty sure these won’t make any Android or iOS user hop on over to the BlackBerry side of the fence. That said, this should be great news for BlackBerry loyalists out there. Wish we had more good news for you BlackBerry fan boys, but unfortunately, this is as good as it gets for now.
