Here’s another event for you app developers out there – the PinoyBBDev Hackathon 2012!

It’s happening on August 4-5 – that’s next weekend – at 6th floor, Boracay and Balesin function rooms, at the Alphaland Southgate Mall at the corner of EDSA and Pasong Tamo Extension. That’s the huge complex near the Magallanes MRT station.

And better come prepared, ‘cause they’ve got some sweet prized up for grabs too. Two 16GB BlackBerry PlayBook tablets and a BlackBerry smartphone plus cash will go to the winning team for each of the 5 categories (Best Android App, Best Adobe Air App, Best Native App, Best WebWorls App, and Best BlackBerry 10 App). So that’s a total of 10 BlackBerry PlayBook tablet and 5 BlackBerry smartphones being given away here!

And to top that all of, registration is completely free. FREE!

Yeah yeah, I know. BlackBerry isn’t exactly the most popular and best platform to develop apps for right now, but hey, this is still worth a shot, especially since you won’t be spending a single centavo here (except, of course, the commute going there). Just hurry, ’cause they’re only accepting a maximum of 150 participants for this event.
