This 12.1-megapixel cam is basically the WiFi-souped up touchscreen-equipped version of the PowerShot S100. It’s better alright, but not by a mile. But what’s really interesting here is that it’s hitting Philippine stores with a more budget-friendly SRP than what its predecessor came with earlier this year.
The Canon PowerShot S100 debuted back in February with an SRP of Php28,998. SRP of the Canon PowerShot S110, meanwhile, is – ready? – Php25,995. That’s a significant Php3K price difference between the two. Better, cheaper; Canon PowerShot S110 FTW!
But yeah, its going up against stiff competition, the biggest of which is the Sony Cyber-shot RX100. With a much lower price tag in tow, though, the S110 might just end up the winner in this compact digital camera showdown. Well, maybe not in performance, but at least as far as over-all sales go.
