Wished the Canon Powershot S100 cam with WiFi and packed a touchscreen display? Yes? Well…WISH GRANTED!
Aside from the EOS 6D, Canon’s just outed their follow up to the Powershot S110 – the Canon Powershot S110 – and it’s everything I mentioned above.
But that’s pretty much it for this bad boy. The rest of its specs sheet reads like a carbon copy of the S100.
The addition of WiFi is a nice touch. Touchscreen? Nah, I can do without it. This’ll be a good option for those who passed on the S100 in the hopes of landing something better. And if you can do without the WiFi, this should also be good news for you since the arrival of the S110 would help drive down the price of the S100, making it even more affordable.
But in my opinion, the Sony Cyber-shot RX100 is still the cam to beat in the compact digicam scene.
But hey, if they price the Powershot S110 right, this could still bag the best bang-for-your-buck compact digital camera award in the local scene.
