Our weekly endeavor to dissect and examine the products at CD-R King takes an interesting turn as we go into potential “byahera” territory. We examine CD-R King’s Portable Electronic Scale, an item which would prove useful to the frequent traveler… that is if it actually works.
Traveling via airplane or sending out a big package via air travel can be a bit of a gamble sometimes, the anxiety of not nothing whether one will be charged fro excess baggage can be a nerve wracking. Pack a bit too much and expect to billed for an extra amount which is usually in the thousands. Surprises like these we definitely don’t need.
The CD-R King Portable Electronic Scale has tons of potential, not only can it help solve the excess weight conundrum, but it’s actually quite small and portable that I can easily bring it anywhere I want. The main question is; does it actually work? Luckily, a box of fresh pomelos just arrived at my desk and I instantly put the Portable Electronic Scale to the test.
First, I used a bathroom scale and a general purpose weighing scale to check the weight of the box of pomelos; 7.5 kilos was reported weight on both scale. I then used the the CD-R King Portable Electronic Scale and then compared the result. All three scales reported the same weight. Based on this quick test, the CD-R King Portable Electronic Scale has proven to fairly accurate. The only negative thing I can say about the CD-R King Portable Electronic Scale is that it has a weighing limit of 20 kg, but other than that, this item is a steal at Php 200!

Hey Howard, Philippine Airline has a 20kg baggage allowance, which negates the usefulness of this scale cause you won’t know if you’re over the weight limit or not…
@techie, well, if the electronic scale stops counting beyond 20 KG, it means that you are over the weight limit
besides, the Electronic Scale can measures fairly accurately before the 20 KG mark which can give you a good idea if you’re over the limit or not
