Cherry Mobile outs two new budget-friendly Android ICS tablets: the Fusion Ice, Superion TV
Yep, Cherry Mobile’s got two new Android tablets out now (or at the very least, coming very soon), and true to their battle cry of everyone deserves a chance to own an Android device, these two are pretty darn affordable.
Let’s start off with the Cherry Mobile Fusion Ice. This 7-incher runs on a 1GHz processor with 512MB RAM, 4GB onboard storage, a VGA front-facing cam (no rear cam), Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich as its OS, a 3000mAh battery as its power source, and – here’s the sweeeeeet part – a Php3,699 price tag.
Now, if you want to enjoy TV on the side, the Cherry Mobile Superion TV is for you. Just like the Fusion Ice, this too is a 7-incher that runs on a 1GHz processor with ICS as its OS, 512MB RAM and 4GB internal storage. What’s different here, aside from the TV tuner, is it comes with a 2-megapixel rear cam and is powered by a slightly juicer 3200mAh battery. Oh, and yeah, it’s a bit pricier too. SRP of the Cherry Mobile Superion TV is Php5,999. Pricier indeed, but still not that expensive.
The price of the Fusion Ice sure is tempting, but for me, the Superion TV, albeit being more expensive, is a better buy. There’s nothing in the Fusion Ice that really excites me while the Superion TV – well – comes with a TV. And with a 7-inch display in tow, TV viewing while on the go just got a little more better.
How about you guys? Either of these two tickle your fancy? Which one’s your pick?
