Cherry Mobile Unveils The Cosmos Series

Bigger and Brighter. That was Cherry Mobile’s vision of the future as they have reached their 4th year in the Philippines’ mobile phone market, and they celebrated this by launching their new line of mobile phones with newer features never before seen in their previous phone models. The new Cosmos line is composed of the Cosmos X, Cosmos X2, Cosmos S, and the Cosmos Z. These new smartphones are powered by MTK’s Quad-Core Processors ranging from 1.2GHz to 1.5GHz,  storage memory up to 16Gb (a first for Cherry Mobile), screens with Super AMOLED HD (another first), and camera resolution up to 18 Megapixels.

And this is exactly in line with our goal as a company of valuing Filipino lifestyle.” said Maynard Ngu, CEO of Cherry Mobile. Cherry Mobile partnered with MediaTek and the Taiwanese giant provided them with the latest MT6589 MTK processors to power their Cosmos series. “The MT6589 is a special achievement for MediaTek globally in many ways. Not only it is the world’s first commercialized quad-core SoC, but also the world’s first HSPA+ smartphone platform supporting Dual-SIM, Dual-Active functionality. The integration of these compelling features makes the MT6589 a universal platform that delivers premium ultimedia capabilities with extremely low power consumption for an outstanding user experience.”

Cherry Mobile is set to release the Cosmos series by August 2013. The prices of the Cosmos series are:

Cosmos X – Php 9,999

Cosmos X2 – Php 11,699

Cosmos S – Php 10,999

Cosmos Z – Php 11,999
