Cherry Mobile’s Newest Game Changer is the Flare 2.0

Cherry Mobile has just launched the newest version of their widely popular phone model, the Cherry Mobile Flare. Most of the specs are similar to the original version with one major difference that would shake up the local mobile phone industry again.

The original Flare was the most affordable Dual-Core powered smartphone for the price of Php 3,999.00. This time, the Flare 2.0′s processor was upgraded to a Quad-Core processor. Because we know that Quad-Core phones are priced higher than the ones with Dual-Core processors, would the price of the Flare 2.0 be higher than the original Flare?

According to Lonson Alejandrino, Product Manager of Cherry Mobile’s Smartphone Division, the Flare 2.0 will still have the same price of, hold your breath, Php 3,999.00! This officially makes the Cherry Mobile Flare 2.0 as the most affordable Quad-Core smartphone to date in the local market!

But this is not just a Php 3,999.00 Quad-Core smartphone. The Flare 2.0, just like the original Flare is powered by Qualcomm – this time with a 1.2GHz Qualcomm 8225Q Quad-core Processor. Qualcomm is very well known for powering the top mobile phone brands like HTC, Samsung and Sony. New users of the Flare 2.0 will be able to experience the world-class processing power of Qualcomm at a very affordable price. Philippine Country Manager Mantosh Malhotra gave a presentation about Qualcomm to the press and bloggers who attended the event of how they are helping to change the smartphone landscape.

When will it be available? Will it be next week? Next month perhaps? The Cherry Mobile Flare 2.0 will be available starting today, September 21, 2013 at SM North EDSA!

Before you prepare your Php 3,999 and head over there, here are some pictures of the old and new Cherry Mobile Flare.
