Looking for an affordable tablet to gift your non-techie relative or friend? Then Cherry Mobile’s new Android tablet offerings – the Cherry Pad and Cherry Pad Turbo – are the goodies you should keep an eye out for.
We’ve already talked about the Cherry Pad Turbo before. It’s one of the more affordable, if not the most affordable 7-inch Gingerbread tablet in the Philippines right now.
But if that’s still a tad bit too expensive for your limited budget, then the Cherry Pad is your next bet. With an SRP of just Php3,899 you’d be hard-pressed to find a tablet as affordable as this one.
The catch?
It only comes with VGA cam, runs on a slower 800Mhz processor with less RAM (512MB), Android 2.2 Froyo as its OS, and a resistive touchscreen.
It’s a far cry from the modern GHz-powered Android tablet, but hey, for less than Php4K, it’s not too shabby.
ETA for both the Cherry Pad and Cherry Pad Turbo is late November.
