Curiosa brings Cydia app updates to iOS Notification Center

One thing I love on Android, and wished were available on iOS, is notifications support for app updates. Sure, the App Store app will give you a heads up if there are any apps that need updating, but the pull down notifications tray is, in my opinion, a far more nifty way of checking for app updates.

If you’re a jailbreak user, however, you’ve got one to enable this feature on your jailbroken iPhone device – AppUpdateNotifier.

But that’s only for App Store downloaded apps, and it’s not free.

How about one for Cydia downloaded apps?

Well, now, you’ve got one too. It’s called Curiosa, and better, unlike AppUpdateNotifier, is completely free to download.

Plus, it’s fully configurable as well so you can indicate how often it would check for updates and if it’ll only do so when connected to a WiFi network. Neat, right?

To download, just add up the repo address as a new source to Cydia and search for Curiosa.

Now, if you’re an iOS newbie and want to learn more on how to jailbreak your iOS device, you may want to check out our previous posts below:
