I am new to DSLR and wanted to know more cool gadgets i could use alongside my Canon 7D.

Point and shoot for me! Easy to carry around and capture life’s moments for keeping or for posting on my blog!

    • talkintech|

I am neither an aficionado nor an enthusiast. However, I prefer using point-and-shoots because it is easier to use and given a capable p&s camera (and an “eye” for detail and lighting), anybody can capture images that can be as beautiful and stunning as those captured by DSLRs.

I go with both DSLRs and P&Ss and beyond. There’re apps on my iPhone or on the Androids that help capture majestic pictures that rival that of the options above.

    • Point and shoot. DSLRs are too heavy and I’m not really that much of a photo enthusiast to require all the bells and whistles. Who was it who said that the best camera is the one that’s with you? :) For non-professional photogs, that’s usually either a phone or a P&S.

a DSLR newbie but a point & shoot enthusiast

DSLR rocks! Its a natural progression from being a Point&Shoot enthusiast.

Currently a DSLR aficionado. I love the flexibility a DSLR gives with its option for interchangeable lenses, and the shots I got with this camera were perfect!

I’m somewhere between a Point & Shoot Enthusiast to becoming a DSLR aficionado wannabe :D Got a point & shoot cam that i bring anywhere because it is handy & also got a G11 to practice more on some SLR features…

    • ckyboy|

I like high powered point and shoot cameras. It’s more convenient to bring and capture instant moments. You don’t worry about never ending lens and accessory upgrades.

DSLR for a few months now. Still getting used to it but loving it,

    • mikomed|

DSLR but not as an accessory.

    • DarkHalf|

Difficult question as I love the picture quality of DSLRs, but prefer the size and portability of a point and shoot camera!

Im a DSLR user turned Point and Shoot fan. I like my camera to be handy and available anytime I need it. The Canon S90 has been my daily companion since the time I bought it. Though its functions has limitations compared to DSLR, for me the pictures are decent enough for such a tiny device.

Instantly fell in love when I owned my first DSLR, then later on found myself being more inclined to using my LX3.. until now :)

    • jobm|

i just love cameras. what’s wrong with that?

    • ronniep98|

Am a point-and-shoot type of guy. Don’t have a DSLR yet so it’s no-contest at the moment.

    • sparkymarks|

i’d love to dabble in DSLR photography but its just a bit too expensive for me at the moment. do have plans in getting one in the near future. my last point and shoot was a casio exilim z850. right now i’m planning on getting a panasonic lumix lx5.

    • happeesha14|

      I don’t have DSLR but I hope I’ll own one. :)

    • tonichi|

Point and Shoot cameras. I’m not fan of bulky and heavy ones *peace*

    • pinoypundit|

I’m both! Gonna try out 550d though!

    • dhoy005|

DSLR. Or depends really on the situation.

    • spidergrrl|

I use a DLSR for assignments and work shoots, and a point and shoot for personal outings. :)

    • Xhitman|

I’m more of the point & shoot person since I feel that its such a hassle to lug around a huge DSLR.

    • abelartus|

POINT AND SHOOT! WISH I HAVE A DSLR.

Had a DSLR but sold it – underutilized – no time to shoot. I am now back to PnS. However, considering getting another DSLR soon.
