I miz the radio station from the original concept of playing new wave music way back in the late 80′s

I stopped listening to NU107 a long time ago since I switched to listening to my own playlist from my media player (mostly iPods and smartphones). However, I still felt a certain level of sadness when I heard the news that NU107 has been replaced with a yet another “masa” station.

losing NU107 is like losing a tambayan you had when you were in high school or college. you would never think it would go away. it gave memories am sure to a lot of people! will surely miss hearing from them!

There was never a day that i didn’t listen to NU107. I grew up with it since we were born on the same year. It hurts to think it’s dead now. It had been my radio station buddy for long years since 5th grade. I have also dreamt of being one of NU’s dj’s, but that won’t ever happen now that it’s gone. I just use my ots instead and spin playlists like NU107 did :)

I stopped listening to FM a long long time ago. I find the DJs to be petty with them boasting about their latest exploits and travels. Some of them super dumb by promoting piracy over public airwaves.

I wish current smart phones and other MP3 players would have AM frequency support over FM. I’d rather listen to current events than listen to morons rant about what party they went to last night.

definitely. NU107 has become an institution for the rock music in the Philippines. It’s a sad day especially when people who were outside the studio of nu lit candles as their sign of support. Nakakapanindig balahibo especially when the dj announced that nu is signing off then eraserheads’ huling el bimbo played. I’ve been watching the final footage in youtube too many times and i still feel sad.

Nope, wasn’t overly affected by their closing, but since I only listen to 2 FM radio stations, I have lost one of my choices. :( So now I don’t have an alternative FM station to tune in to when I don’t like what’s playing on the other station.

I love NU107 but I was not orphaned when they vanished permanently in the airwaves.

I wasn’t a die-hard fan of the station but was in dismay when I heard the news.

      • jobm|

NU107 was my station in the early 90′s upto late 90′s. good memories. too bad they couldn’t keep up commercially.

      • notdatjanet|

Nope and I’m probably the only one who is not affected by it.

      • painterswife|

Nope. I was always a pop music enthusiast.

i wouldnt say orphaned since i sorta moved on to a couple of years back but i never erased it in my car radio’s memory button. was really sentimental -till now when i think about it- when i learned it was closing since it was the only radio station i listened to during my high school all the way to college years.

      • ellamellaa|

Nope and I must admit its been awhile since I’ve tuned in to the station though
