Well, we already gave you a hint at who our reliable source is for the news bit (take a second look if you want, in case you missed it — iPad mini confirmed?), and now, we’ve got proof they weren’t kidding.
Here’s a first look at one of the members of the first batch of accessories for the upcoming iPad mini.

So, what does this reveal about the iPad mini?
Unfortunately, not much. We don’t have a mockup to try out with this particular case on, so we can’t confirm if the iPad mini mockup we featured the other day is legit or not. Also, the current form factor of this case doesn’t really hint at a specific design for the much-awaited little bro of the iPad. In short, while we’re confident of the iPad mini’s existence, we’re still not that entirely sure as to what it’ll look like.
But hey, it’s only a matter of days now before the iPad mini goes official, so let’s all just wait and see, shall we?

Anong event ba ng apple that will happen na isasabay nila yung iPAD Mini? Is it really confirmed and they already gave invites?
Ang palagay ko e magiging magkasabay na announcement ng bagong iTunes 11 at “iPad mini”. Pero mini-, este, small event lang ito, hindi tulad nung huling announcement. Ang prediction ng mga tao e around October 18 ang announcement, so mga October 10 or 11, may invites na. So far, mukhang wala pang invites.
By the way, from the looks of this case, it doesn’t look proportional to mock-ups I’ve seen of the “iPad mini.” This case looks more like a case for a 7″ tablet with a 16:9 aspect ratio; i.e. like the Nexus 7. But then, who knows. I’m just assuming the “iPad mini” is called the “iPad mini” and it will have a 4:3 display, not 16:9.
