If I were to make a “Best of” list for IFA 2013, Samsung would definitely take top honor. For a gadget-crazy freak like me, Samsung’s avalanche of mobile devices and gadgets was just too overwhelming for the senses. Of all the places at IFA, I spent the most time at Samsung’s exhibit hall. The Note III and Galaxy Gear were show stoppers, and I simply can’t wait for the day I can get my hands on them. Samsung, take my money already!
Just look at the crowd. The Samsung Exhibit hall was definitely packed!
For some reason, I was inexplicably drawn to the pink-colored Galaxy Note III. Please don’t judge me.
The leather-clad backside looks good
A friend of mine was concerned that the leather backside would come of as cheap as it reminded him too much of the BlackBerry Bold with the faux leather battery cover. Upon close inspection, the leather used on the Note III is so much better than what BlackBerry used
The new and improved S-Pen. The color of the S-Pen matches the color of the unit, how cute!
While the S-View Cover of Galaxy S4 was quite nice, the S-View Cover of the Galaxy Note III brings it up a notch. Bigger view with actual widgets that one can swipe and use
Even the S-Pen can be used on the S-View cover of the Note III
With the use of a dock and wireless game controller, the Galaxy Note III can be turned into a gaming console
The game controller can hold the Galaxy Note III, transforming it into a make-shift portable gaming device

The Galaxy Gear
The display of the Galaxy Gear is so pretty. The Galaxy is actually not a stand-alone device, but more of an extension of the Galaxy smartphone it is paired with. It acts as a viewing device and secondary control method of the paired smartphone. From the Galaxy Gear, a person can view contacts, read SMS, answer/receive calls, and use voice recognition to send SMS. Apps will be made available for the Galaxy Gear to extend its functionality. Currently, it’s only compatible with the Galaxy Note III, but I’m pretty sure an update is in the works to make it compatible with the Galaxy S4, Note II and S3
Here’s something my son would love; the Galaxy Tab Kids
It looks great and is bundled with a bunch of apps targeted for kids. What’s not to love?
The case of the Galaxy Tab Kids has a kick stand that can also be used as a handle
Samsung has also created an extensive portfolio of accessories to support its Galaxy Line of smartphones and tablets
Just like the Galaxy S4, the Galaxy Note III will also have an optional wireless charging accessory
Color coordinated Galaxy Gear and Note III back cases
Here’s something I would want for my office: a full-touch screen, digital whiteboard
I gotta admit, that 110″ 4K UHTV is definitely too much TV for me. I wish I could afford one!
