Well, we can’t say we’re the least bit surprised by this.
After hitting the Android scene, it looks like Google Chrome’s all primed and ready to debut on the iOS platform next. And it could very well happen within the month. That is, if this report proves to be true.
Huwwat?! Apple allowing a Safari rival on iOS?
Crazy, right? But it’s a free country, and fair play dictates Apple can’t shut out their rivals from the App Store, especially if they’re playing by the rules. In fact, there are already a number of Safari alternatives available on iOS, Opera Mini prolly being the most popular one.
But yeah, Chrome is in a league of its own. It’s like having IE – in its hay day, of course – becoming available on iOS. Heck, Chrome’s prolly the main reason why nobody’s talking about IE anymore!
So yes, it really is a big deal if Chrome becomes available on iOS. That’s still a big IF, though.
One thing we do know for sure, though – there’s more than a handful of iOS users, yours truly included, who sure wouldn’t mind seeing the Google web browser appear on iOS.
