Google+ for iOS just got updated to version 3.0, which intros some new treats for iOS users, including the ability to (finally!) start and join Hangouts, attach Instant Upload photos to posts, and Google+ Events.
But the most welcome addition here is native iPad support. Yep, that’s right, boys and girls. Beginning version 3.0, Google+ on iOS is now universal! Yessss!
But don’t expect it to be as visually stunning on the iPad as it is on the iPhone. The layout is completely different on Apple’s iOS tablet, though it does retain the top center drop down menu for easy navigation of your various Circles. Tiles is the name of the game here, which is pretty much what’s now available over on the Android tablet side of the fence as well.
I’m not quite a fan of it, but hey, at least it now takes full advantage of the iPad’s gorgeous 9.7-inch display.
