Gunther Deichmann Photography, Aperture Workshop ready to rock Subic in February

Internationally renowned photographer Gunther Deichmann will soon be back in the country and he’ll once again share his wisdom on photography and Aperture in a workshop next month.

But unlike the previous ones he conducted and Power Mac Center hosted here in Metro Manila, this new two-day workshop, happening on February 8-9, will be held out of town, at the Subic Park Hotel in Zambales to be exact. The new venue will not only offer participants a wider selection of attractive scenery to shoot at, but will also give them – or at least those coming from Metro Manila – a welcome reprieve from the hustle and bustle of daily city living.

Interested?

Well, be sure you’ve got the budget first, ‘cause this one isn’t understandably free. It’s Php6,500 per participant, which, fortunately, already includes the training, meals, actual photo shoots, hands-on photo editing and management, and your souvenir, a signed certificate from Deichmann upon completion of the course. So yeah, while it might seem pricey, it’s well worth, given what you’ll be getting in return.

Power Mac Center chooses Subic as next venue for a Photography and Aperture workshop by international photographer Gunther Deichmann

For digital photography and Apple enthusiasts, here is your chance to hone your skills. Power Mac Center brings back its well-loved adventure photography workshop conducted by no less than multi-awarded and internationally acclaimed Australian photographer and Apple Pro Trainer, Gunther Deichmann.

A two-day workshop on basic photography and digital photo management using Apple’s  photography software Aperture will be held on February 8 and 9, 2012 at the Subic Park Hotel in Zambales. Aperture gives users powerful yet easy-to-use tools so that they can do so much more with their photos as well as manage massive libraries on Mac.

At the workshop, Deichmann will share his experiences and techniques on photography while shooting Subic’s scenic attractions. Other topics include tips on color correction and editing, making the right adjustments (when to use curves, brushes, etc), backing up files, protecting images, analyzing RAW versus JPEG, managing and sharing libraries, as well as how to work with Aperture while in the field, plus a whole lot more.

“We chose Subic because it is the perfect environment for the workshop as it offers a very beautiful and serene environment. The participants will definitely enjoy every minute of taking pictures of the area as it helps them push their artistry in photography to a higher level,” said Deichmann.

Using their digital cameras, participants will be asked to take photos, edit and critique their outputs, while learning, experiencing, understanding and maximizing the features of the Apple Aperture software.

Registration costs Php 6,500.00 per participant inclusive of 16 hours of training, meals, actual photo shoots, hands-on digital photo editing and management, and a certificate signed by Deichmann upon completing the course.

Deichmann is a certified Apple Pro Trainer for Aperture and is on the Apple Aperture Advisory Board Asia. His works, consisting of images taken in the past 35 years in over 30 countries, have been featured in many international magazines and books and graced covers including Time Magazine. He has published 12 books including his most recent “Journey Through Color & Time.” Find out more about Gunther Deichmann, visitwww.deichmann-photo.com.
