The thinnest smartphone and the phablet with the longest battery life are here. The Huawei Ascend P6 is only 6.18mm thin while its phablet sibling, the Huawei Ascend Mate, boasts a massive 4050mAh battery.
The Ascend P6 is strangely pocketable, and I mean that in a good way. The body is thin and yet its sides don’t edge uncomfortably into my palms.
The Huawei Ascend P6′s 5MP front camera has an Auto Ganda (Face Enhancement) feature. Choose from several levels of Ganda (see above). The resulting image “cleans up” the You that you will then share on Facebook.
It of course helps to look like this girl. If you’re Maganda na Talaga, Auto Ganda barely amplifies your God-given materials.
Meanwhile, the Huawei Ascend Mate is packaged as a supersized pocket cinema phablet that’s just begging for a Lord of the Rings trilogy, or even a Harry Potter seventhology (whatever).
To probably help you do some one-handed navigation, given that giant screen, the Ascend Mate has an extra overlay button that opens, when tapped, into a circular UI (see below).
And that’s Huawei’s latest flagship Android and giant phablet for you. By the way, the Ascend P6 looks cooler in black (below), because I said so.
You can also get the Huawei Ascend P6 at Globe via its MySuperPlan for as low as P999 monthly at Plan 499 with P500 monthly cashout for a 24-month contract period; or at Plan 999 with P200 monthly cashout also for a 24-month contract period.
