If this bad boy looks familiar, that’s because it’s pretty much a doppelganger of its namesake tablet sibling, the Huawei MediaPad, which landed in Philippine stores back in 2011 and was later on rebranded as the Tattoo MediaPad when it joined the Globe Tattoo fold.
It just now sports a white/silver chasis (as opposed to black/silver).
As far as specs go, its name says it all. The Huawei MediaPad 7 Lite is basically a toned down version of the MediaPad.
It features a lower resolution (1024×600 vs 1280×800) 7-inch display, a less impressive 3.15-megapixel main cam (vs 5MP) and VGA (vs 1.3MP) shooter on the front.
On the upside, though, it still comes with a modest serving of 1GB of RAM, 8GB of onboard storage, a 4100mAh battery, and runs on Ice Cream Sandwich right off the bat.
How much?
SRP of the Huawei MediaPad 7 Lite is Php10,990, and as an added treat, will come with a free leather case.
It’s really not a bad offer, but with Cherry Mobile rocking the local Android tablet scene with their ridiculously priced uber-affordable quad-core Android, the Fusion Bolt, the MediaPad 7 Lite definitely has its work cut out for it.
