iOS 5.1 rolls out! Direct Download links here!

And in case you missed it, Apple has also officially rolled out the dreaded iOS update jailbreak-dependents should stay away from – iOS 5.1.

Here’s the full changelog of iOS 5.1 for your perusal:

  • Japanese language support for Siri (availability may be limited during initial rollout)
  • Photos can now be deleted from Photo Stream
  • Camera shortcut now always visible on Lock Screen for iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS and iPod touch (4th generation)
  • Camera face detection now highlights all detected faces
  • Redesigned Camera app for iPad
  • Genius Mixes and Genius playlists for iTunes Match subscribers
  • Audio for TV programs and films on iPad optimized to sound louder and clearer
  • Podcast controls for playback speed and a 30-second rewind for iPad
  • Addresses bugs affecting battery life
  • Fixes and issue that occasionally caused audio to drop for outgoing calls

The face detection is a welcome treat, but aside from that, its really got nothing compelling to offer that would convince jailbreak enthusiasts to abandon Cydia and their jailbreak-souped up life.

For those, however, not into the whole jailbreaking thing, feel free to upgrade now.

You can upgrade OTA if you’re on iOS 5 already, or if you still want to go the traditional wired route, take your pick from the download links below:

Jailbreak-dependents, for their part, are advised to wait for the go signal first before hitting that tempting update button.
