iOS 6 Feature Availability: Which will and which won’t work in the Philippines
So we all now know iOS 6 is coming on the 19th, but what some of you might not know is not all iOS 6 features will be available in our neck of the woods.
Which iOS 6 features will and which won’t work in the Philippines?
A quick check over at iOS 6 Features Availability page revealed that it’s a go for most of the new Maps’ treats in the Philippines – Turn-by-turn Navigation, Local search, Directions, and Satellite.
The services in Maps that didn’t quite make it to the table as far the Philippines goes include Traffic, Business Reviews and Photos, and 3D Buildings.
For Siri though, it’s a whole different story. You can still chat it up with Siri, but it doesn’t come with any local support (i.e. restaurant reviews, movie schedule, local search, etc).
To be honest though, I’m not missing local support for Siri that much. Sure, it would have been great if it were available, but as the case is, it’s not a big loss.
The feature I’m really most excited for – Maps – is available in the Philippines, and should serve as a nice rival to Espoo’s already proven Nokia Drive and Maps apps.
How about you guys? Which iOS 6 feature are you eager to get your hands on?

Actually, Siri with location services now works on IOS6!!! The webpage isn’t updated. Try it yourself. I also started a thread in PhilMUG about it.
