Yep, Apple is launching the iPhone 5 on September 12. That’s the buzz on the Internet right now.
And not one, not two, but three sites have confirmed the September date. iMore was first to pull the trigger, followed by TheLoop and AllThingsD.
But heck, we could hardly care how many sites confirm the date. It could be five or even ten reputable sites all saying the new iPhone will be launched next month. We still wouldn’t tick it off the rumor checklist.
The only solid evidence of a new iPhone coming in September would be an official invite from Apple for the said event, and based on track record, that should happen sometime within the month, if the September launch is spot on.
That said, this bit of news should serve as a good appetizer as to what we could expect in the coming weeks, and if the other rumor we’ve been hearing also proves to be true, the iPhone 5 won’t be the only iOS device taking centerstage. The long-rumored iPad mini will also be there too.

If the iPad mini rumors are true come September, then I would really hate myself for buying an iPad just last week and not waiting it out..
