So iTunes 11 is delayed. What’s the big fuss?
It’s Apple! That’s why.
But if it were any other company, would there be such an uproar for the delay?
Possibly, but most likely not.
Apple has been painted, intentionally or unintentionally, as the perfectionist company, and anything that goes awry, no matter how big or small, is now seen to be a strike against them.
(Personally though, who gives a hoot if it’s delayed by a couple of weeks? It’s not like it’s a been pushed back a whole year or something. And besides, I’d rather get something that’s been fine-tuned than download something that’s half-baked.)
So when’s the new D-day for iTunes 11?
The new ETA is now end of November (original sched was for end of October). So it’s really not that far away.
We’re just hoping, for Apple’s sake, that it doesn’t get further delayed… lest people start claiming it to be a sign that the company is indeed on a downhill slope.
