Yep, that’s basically the gist of Kim Dotcom‘s message to his thousands of Twitter followers.
“SOPA is dead. PIPA is dead. ACTA is dead. MEGA will return. Bigger. Better. Faster. Free of charge & shielded from attacks. Evolution!”
Fighting words, indeed, but does it hold water?
Well, it’s hard to say right now.
The case is still on-going, but the MegaUpload king did win one a major point for his camp. The New Zealand court has deemed the search warrants use to raid Kim Dotcom’s home were illegal, and the copying and sending of evidence by the FBI to the US were unlawful too.
But again, the case is still far from over.
For now, all we know for sure is Kim Dotcom drew first blood in this legal battle.
As to whether or not MegaUpload will indeed make a grand return to the World Wide Web, that’s something only time will tell.
