Here it is, LG fan boys! We’ve finally got info as to when and if you should expect Jelly Bean to be released for your LG ‘droid.
This news is courtesy of 9to5Google who cites a particular LG press release as their source. Unfortunately, as I was writing this post, the said press release was no longer available. Fortunately, however, all the important info was already relayed to the public by 9to5Google.
With that out of the way, let’s move on. First in line for Jelly Bean is the LG Optimus LTE II. It’ll reportedly get the Android 4.1 update in November followed by the LG Optimus G in December. Both the Optimus Vu and Vu II, meanwhile, will get theirs sometime in early 2013, in Q1 to be exact.
Aaaand that’s it!
I told you it was short. And yes, you’re right, none of these have officially been launched in the Philippines.
So unless LG adds more devices to their list - which, logic dictates, they should – it appears most, if not all, of you Philippine LG users out there are out of luck as far as Jelly Bean goes.
