Yep, the LG Optimus L7 has a dual SIM variant – the LG Optimus L7 II Dual – but don’t think this is just a mere dual SIM carbon copy of the former.
While this one does carry the same L series name and dons a 4.3-inch touchscreen, there’s a reason why there’s a II in its name. This bad boy, aside from being a dual SIM ‘droid, is also the upgraded version of its namesake.
Compared to the L7, this one’s powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor (vs 1GHz single-core Snapdragon) with a better 8-megapixel main cam (vs 5MP) ‘roind the back, a juicier 2450mAh battery (vs 1700mAh), preinstalled with a newer Android version, 4.1 Jelly Bean (vs Ice Cream Sandwich).
A whole lot better, right?
Unfortunately, the Optimus L7 II Dual has only been confirmed for the Russian market.
That said, given LG’s current position in the global phone market, I’m sure they’d want to release as many phones as they can in as many markets to inch away at the huge lead their Korean rivals have over them. And in case it needs to be said, this one looks like a prime candidate to help them achieve that seemingly insurmountable task.
