Planning to get a MacBook Pro soon? Yes?
Well, you might wanna postpone that purchase ‘till after WWDC 2012 ‘cause if you don’t, you could end up spending your money on an outdated Apple lappy.
Word is Apple will be unveiling their updated MacBook Pro line at WWDC 2012 next month. The usual suspects – upgraded processor, better graphics, more HDD space – are all there, but if this latest rumor turns out to be fact than fiction, the MacBook Pro 2012 will pack more new treats than usual.
USB 3.0 is reportedly finally debuting on the Mac, and so is the Retina Display. And just as we’ve been hearing in the past, the new MacBook Pro will be the sexiest it has ever been. As 9to5Mac reports, it won’t exactly be MacBook Air-thin, but it’ll be noticeably thinner nonetheless.
Oh, and one more thing – the all-new MBP will also reportedly ditch the onboard optical drive too, just like the Mac Mini. Bad news for some, but in this day and age of USB thumb drives and cloud storage, I’m sure not that many will miss the optical drive.
But don’t pop the champagne just yet!
This is all just a rumor, and with news items such as this, we urge you to take this bit of info with a grain of salt.
That said, it’s looking more plausible than ever, and based on what we’ve been hearing so far, it certainly is worth the wait, especially given WWDC is just a couple of weeks away.
More on this as it unfolds.
