Microsoft’s latest teaser ad on the new Windows 8 platform is out. It’s playful enough to make you nod on the key message: Windows Reimagined.
You can watch the teaser ad here.
This is said to be the first of more ads by ad agency Crispin Porter + Bogusky. Still, the geek in me can’t help but list the ultra clever visual cues: a space shuttle launch, an audio countdown timer, the timer stuck at 8, an old laptop smashed, Windows 8 everywhere (on desktop, laptop, and tablet), and finally, the split-second sense of infectious wow you get from that kid at the end. Awesome.
With Microsoft’s reported $1 billion advertising budget, one can’t help but wonder if Windows 8 is actually great, or if CEO Steve Ballmer is just plain desperate. Still, wonderful ad.
