Nokia continues to sweeten the Lumia pot. Today the company’s announced its new Cinemagraph digital camera lens and Camera Extras apps. These first debuted on the Windows Phone 8 smartphones and are now trickling down to the rest of the range.
Cinemagraph lets its users make GIFs and share them with their buddies via social media through the Nokia Memories site. Cinemagraph is now available for the Lumia 900, 800 and 710 smartphones; Lumia 610 and 510 owners shouldn’t fret, as Cinemagraph will be available for their phones over the next few weeks.
As for the Camera Extras app, this updated version adds a burst mode, allowing users to take photos sequentially, choose their favorite ones and then delete unwanted moving objects. It also features UI improvements to bring it more into line with the Smart Camera feature in the Windows Phone 8 range. Other key features include Smart Shoot, Panorama, Action Shot and a self-timer. The new Camera Extras app is now available across the board.
Nokia says that, along with the features Windows Phone 7.8 offers, Cinemagraph and the Camera Extras app will help make Lumias feel like a “new phone with a wealth of new experiences to play with”. Tell us if you agree, especially if you’ve taken the plunge and have already begun using these new offerings from Nokia.
