Nokia Lumia 610 hitting Philippine stores this week! First in Asia!

Globe may be outing it in May, but the rest of the Philippines will be getting it this week. That is, unless Globe decides to release it earlier too.

What are we talking about?

It’s none other than Nokia’s newest and most affordable Windows Phone offering to date – the Nokia Lumia 610.

Nokia made the grand announcement yesterday that their entry-level Lumia treat has begun shipping in Asia, with the Philippines as its first stop. It’ll be hitting stores in the last week of April, which, incidentally, is already this week!

This could be the same time that SMART will be offering up theirs too.

We haven’t gotten the official word from Nokia yet about it, but if what we’ve been hearing is true, it’ll retail a shade under the Php11K mark. And yes, that’s unlocked and ready to use on any network.

Check out the full press release here.

However, if you don’t mind signing up on a postpaid plan, you’ll be getting more bang for your buck with the SMART Nokia Lumia 710. It’s got a faster processor (1.4GHz vs 800Mhz), more RAM (512MB vs 256MB), supports 720p HD video recording and exchangeable back covers too. If you get in on Data Plan 1000, you’ll be paying Php450 for 24 months. So all-in-all, under this limited edition plan, the Nokia Lumia 710 is going for just Php10,800.

But then again, you’ll also be paying Php1K a month for at least 24 months.

If you don’t mind going down this route, just be sure to hurry. You only have up until May 8yes, they changed it - to enroll on Data Plan 1000.

Head on over here for more details or to apply for one now.
