It looks like the powers that be heard my prayers as news broke out yesterday that a Nokia Lumia PureView phone is in the works.
Ok, it actually wasn’t worded that way, but that’s essentially the message that’s being sent across.
The PureView tech Espoo debuted at the world’s biggest stage for mobile phones will soon be made available on a Windows Phone-powered Nokia Lumia smartphone as reportedly revealed by Jo Harow, Executive Vie President of smart devices for Nokia, in an interview.
How soon is yet to be disclosed though.
And yeah, there’s still that bit about Microsoft’s stringent hardware requirements for Windows Phone, which could be a major setback for the PureView Lumia phone. But hey, Nokia does have a new close partnership with Microsoft. So this really might not be much of an issue.
Windows Phone+PureView; now that’s a lethal combo I can’t wait to see hit the market!
More on this (hopefully) soon.
In the meantime, I leave you with these snapshots taken using the 41-megapixel Nokia 808 PureView to whet your appetite at what a Nokia Lumia PureView phone could potentially do:
