Nokia X7, Symbian ‘Anna’ now Official

And just like that, the Finns’ new Xseries phone is now official.

Three Network has just announced the Nokia X7. This baby packs an 8-megapixel camera with dual-LED flash and 720p HD video recording, 1GB ROM, 256MB RAM, Flash10 support, and sports a similar 4-inch ClearBlack display and 680MHz processor as the ones used on the Nokia E7.

As far as its new Symbian OS goes, we now know it’s named Anna. It reportedly features over 50 new enhancements, including the ones that were mentioned in the X7 video preview yesterday along with a new split view where “users can see their message conversations, webpages, maps, contact or email while writing.

The video below is the official promo video for the Nokia X7, with the next one highlighting its new Symbian OS:

The Nokia X7 will begin shipping this quarter with an estimated retail price of 380 Euro (before tax and subsidies). That’s roughly Php 23.6K based on the current exchange rate.

Not bad, though I’m not digging the X7′s design.

How about you Nokia fan boys and girls out there? You like Nokia’s new Xseries offering?

Allan, gotta give Nokia for trying…but can’t wait to see their version of WP7.

Well…it’s still business as usual. And with no clear date yet as to when they’ll roll out their Windows Phone 7 offerings, it’s still Symbian phones for the time being. And it would be a big let down if they would just simply give up on Symbian that easily.
