Aaaand it’s official!

The 12th is the big day when Apple will be staging their event this September, and we can only interpret the invite one way – the iPhone 5 will be the star of the show here.

And if what we’ve talked about previously is true, it’ll be the lone star of the show – not counting, of course, iOS 6 – with the long-rumored iPad mini taking center stage the month after.

Below is a snapshot of what many are looking forward come next week, but we urge you to keep an open mind as Apple could pull the plug on that particular iPhone just to play the spoiler’s role.

As for specs, a large 4-inch display, new dock port, and LTE connectivity top the very short list of rumored iPhone 5 features. On personal note, I sure wouldn’t mind if it came with NFC as it sure seems like this is the next big thing on the wireless horizon.
