Like the idea of the Asus Eee Pad Transformer, but find it a hassle the QWERTY keyboard not permanently attached to the Eee Pad? If so, then the Asus Eee Pad Slider is prolly what you’re looking for.
It’s basically a twin of the Eee Pad Transformer. The Asus Eee Pad Slider also comes packed with a 10.1-inch touchscreen, a 1GHz Tegra 2 processor under the hood, a 5-megapixel autofocus cam ‘round the back, a 1.2-MP front-facing camera, and runs on Android Honeycomb. The only thing new with this Eee Pad is that it now comes with a slide-out QWERTY keypad instead of a detachable one.
SRP of the Asus Eee Pad Slider is Php26,990 and is schedule to hit Philippine stores this November.
It’s definitely cheaper than the Eee Pad Transformer and you certainly don’t have to worry about packing a QWERTY keyboard accessory anymore when you hit the road anymore with this Eee Pad. But while this may seem like the perfect buy, do note that this offers less battery life (roughly 8 hours) as compared to the dock-connected Eee Pad Transformer (around 14.5 hours). Something to think about before taking the big plunge.
