Well, that sure didn’t take long. The software update we discussed the other day, the one for Nokia Lumia 710 users who bought their Windows Phone handset from SMART, is now available for download.

Just to recap, this update brings three new treats to the Lumia 710 – Flip to silence, compatibility with new apps, and Internet Sharing, aka WiFi Hotspot.

This isn’t an over-the-air update though. You do need to hook up your Lumia 710 to your PC/Mac in order to update it. PC users can use the Zune software to update their Lumia 710 to the latest OS version, while Mac users can turn to the Windows Phone 7 Connector app.

How about the one for Lumia 800?

It’s not out yet. It’s still pending approval but, don’t worry, once we get word on its availability, we’ll give you guys the heads up.
