Dear Art,

As you know, Jason, Howard, Allan and myself have signed up for our first ever joint Technoodling editors’ race at the Run United 3 event at Mall of Asia on September 16th. As you also know, we have been busy placing friendly wagers between ourselves as to who will cross the finish line first.

Since you have opted to sit this one out and watch from the sidelines, I was wondering if you could at least offer me your advice on the wager. Each runner has their pros and cons, so it looks to be an exciting race. Kindly consult the accompanying chart and offer me your comments?

Technoodling Runner = Pros / Cons

ALLAN

  • Pros: Young, light, plays badminton regularly
  • Cons:  New to running, ominously quiet in chatroom about training progress (sandbagger?)

VIC

  • Pros: Experienced,  offering unsolicited  training advice that may work against others  (evil laugh)
  • Cons: May fail to heed own advice and  blow up spectacularly under weight of own ego

JASON

  • Pros: The tall dude takes long strides with dem long legs
  • Cons: Might be too spent by the end to fight off a late race charge from the Howard. The spirit may be willing but the flesh, not so much.

HOWARD

  • Pros: The competitive drive, the raging desire, the will to win
  • Cons:  Needs Kate Upton at the finish line as incentive. In a pinch, will settle for any waitress from the nearby Hooters, preferably Jo Ann.

There’s the betting sheet, Art! What say you? While I’m waiting for your sage advice, I’ll be over here reading up on last week’s news.

Cheerio,
Vic

Vic spends entirely too much on gadgets. So rather than try and kick the habit, he decided to become the Reviews Editor of Technoodling. Now, he has a perfectly good excuse. It's not an addiction: it's a job. His favorite noodle: Pappardelle.
