Hi Art,
I’ve been trying wean myself off podcasts and mere snippets of news via RS feeds and get back into the habit of reading long-form pieces, especially books. I just finished Carlos Ruiz Zafon’s The Prisoner of Heaven, and reading it on my iPad was not the happiest of experiences, mainly because the iPad is so frackin’ huge, and doesn’t really feel like a book in my hands. So I’m also looking at other gadgets that are somewhere between my phone and my tablet in size. The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is attractive, albeit a bit expensive if I’ll be using it merely as an ereader. I think the iPad mini is for real, and that would be ideal for me. But the new Kindle Paperwhite has been getting glowing reviews (pun intended).
Which one would you recommend?

Jason,
If you’re going after pure reading experience (and nothing else), then it’s hard to beat the Kindle alright. And it’s pretty slim and light, so you could add it to your bag of gadgets and not be too encumbered.
The iPad mini won’t make sense unless you get rid of your 10.1″ tablet. And I have a feeling that you don’t want to do that…
