The Samsung Galaxy Note continues its hot selling streak and has now surpassed the 5 million sales mark.
5 million Galaxy Note units sold in 5 months, impressive!
At this rate, they’ll be able to reach their goal of 10 million Samsung Galaxy Note ‘droids sold in just 10 months, and will, in all likelihood, surpass that by the time everything’s all said and done this 2012.
It’s still not quite as impressive as the record set by the new iPad – 3 million new iPad units sold in 3 days – but impressive, nonetheless.
But won’t the iPad 3 slow down Galaxy Note sales?
It will, but in my humble opinion, not to a great extent. Yes, both are tablets, but don’t forget, tablets of different sizes. Thus, they bring different pros and cons to the table, and essentially, have different target markets in mind.
Now, if Apple does finally decide to venture into the 5-inch (or even the 7-inch) tablet scene, that would be a different story altogether.
But yeah, that’s still a very big IF.
Congrats, Samsung on this new achievement! You are still the true undisputed king of 5-inch Android phablets!
