Samsung did it again! Or shall we say, did better this time around.
Their newest Galaxy flagship ‘droid, the Galaxy S III, has tucked under its belt its first major milestone – 20 million Galaxy S III Superphones sold!
And not just that, it did it in record and convincing fashion – 20 million sold in 100 days!
Do the math, that’s 200,000 Galaxy S III units out the door per day. Wow!
For the record, its predecessor also achieved this amazing feat, but it took the Galaxy S II 9 months to reach this goal. 9 months vs 100 days? ‘Nuff said!
With this 20 millions sales done and over with, the pressure is now on Apple who, for the past few years, killed it when it came to iPhone sales. Can they upstage and beat the record set by the Galaxy S III? Well, if iPhone 5 sales will begin this month too, we’ll soon find out.
