Here’s an update on the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S III.
Ok, maybe not so much of an update. It’s basically a new rumor to whet our appetite for Sammy’s follow-up to their current flaghip ‘droid, the Samsung Galaxy S II.
Word is the 3rd iteration of the Galaxy S will come packed with a Super AMOELD Plus display, LTE connectivity, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich as its OS, a 12-megapixel cam, 2GB of RAM, and get this, a quad-core processor to man the show. Previous reports indicated that the Galaxy S III will sport a 1.8GHz dual-core under the hood, but this could have easily been changed in light of recent rumors that HTC will be releasing quad-core ‘droids – the HTC Zeta and HTC Edge – come 2012.
Highly plausible (‘cept prolly for that part about an onboard 12-megapixel cam), but we’re still taking this bit of news with a grain of salt. That’s not to say though we’re not liking what we’re hearing so far. We just don’t want to set our expectations too high.
More on this (hopefully) soon.
