Add just like that, the 7-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 now has a new bro. A bigger bro to be exact.

Samsung has just announced the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), and similar to the relationship the first 10.1-inch Galaxy tab had with its 8.9-inch Tab sibling, this one’s pretty much an identical twin of the recently announced Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0).
Note the new naming convention that Samsung has adopted for its Galaxy line, with the series number plus the screen size in parentheses.
Full specs here.
No price and local availability info yet, but given how this is following its predecessors’ footsteps so uncanningly well, this will hopefully be as affordable as the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) considering it really has nothing astoundingly new to offer except for a much larger touchscreen playing ground.

Oh, and yes, Sammy did launch a new projector-equipped Samsung Galaxy Beam smartphone. This one packs a 4-inch display, a 5MP autofocus main cam with flash at the back, a 1.3MP cam secondary cam on the front, a 1GHz dual-core processor with 6GB RAM (?) under the hood, Gingerbread as its OS, and a 15-lumen projector.
Interesting, yes.
Useful, maybe.
Philippine availability, doubtful.
More on the all-new Galaxy Beam can be found here.
