Everyone, this is Karel Holub, the new General Manager of Nokia Philippines.
Holub, a Czech native, has been in the telecoms industry for sixteen years, eight of which have been spent with Nokia. He has quite a bit of experience at managing relationships with key distributors, operators, retailers and developers, and also boasts a background in tactical planning for retail merchandising and promotions.
Prior to this stint, Holub was based in Kazakhstan, where he served as the GM for South CIS countries, including the emerging markets of the Caucasus, Central Asia and Mongolia. Aside from Nokia, he’s also worked at companies such as Mobil.cz, the Celadon Group and Vodafone Czech Republic.
Nokia says that Holub’s new assignment coincides with the local launch of the Lumia 920, as well as the announcement that this Nokia range-topper will be offered exclusively through SMART in the Philippines (more details when we know more).
Welcome to Manila, Mr Holub, and the best of luck at your new job!
