How does a postpaid plan with no lock-in period, no fixed monthly fee sound to you? Too good to be true?
It’s really too good, but it is true. SMART’s new postpaid plan, the Freedom plan, is just that – a postpaid plan with no fixed monthly fee and no lock-in period.
You only pay for what you consume. It’s sort of like prepaid, but instead of paying before you use, it’s the other way around. You use and pay at the end of the month
But wait! There’s more!
To make it make it even more enticing, SMART’s providing special “buckets” so Freedom subscribers can get more out of their peso. For example, for those who love to make calls, there’s the UnliTalk bucket, which provides unlimited (on-net) calls for Php500 valid for 30 days, they can avail. They’ll just have to text the keyword – in the case of UnliTalk, it’s UNLITALK – to 9990.
Check out the full list of “buckets” available for Freedom plan subscribers below:

Not bad, right?
Just note the fine print: by default, you can only spend up to Php600 per month, and there’s a Php250 application fee.

what if i like to use all txt 100 and i also want to apply in a 1 day unli surf, say 4 times a month, is that possible?
@AZEROTH: From what I understand, you have to pay off the Php600 first before you can avail of additional services. I could be wrong though. Better to get in touch with SMART for further clarification on the Php600 cap.
